Anthologie 於 1983 年 9 月 在德國漢諾威，由建築、設計、藝術與時尚藝廊 「Quartett」 所策劃成立，最初以系列收藏的形式呈現。不久之後，該系列即獨立發展為一家公司，並將據點設於德國下薩克森州的 Hünnefeld 城堡（Schloss Hünnefeld），位於 Bad Essen。
自 1990 年代初期 起，品牌開始專注於燈具的設計與製造。從最初少量、極具視覺張力且獨一無二的設計燈款出發，Anthologie Quartett 很快成長為國際知名的當代燈具設計品牌。其設計理念充分展現現代設計的多樣性，並涵蓋眾多非傳統、富創意的燈具作品。
Anthologie was formed as an collection by the architecture-, design-, art- and fashion gallery 'Quartett' in September 1983 in Hannover. Shortly afterwards this collection became an independent company with the location of Lower Saxony castle Schloss Hünnefeld/ Bad Essen.From the beginning of the early 1990s the company started to concentrate on the manufacturing of lighting fixtures. From just a few spectacular and individual pieces of design lights Anthologie Quartett was very fast developed to an internationally known brand for contemporary lighting design. The design concepts of the company very well reflect the diversity of modern design and include a variety of unconventional lights.
